Good Systems Demos and Discussion:
Ethical AI Research in Action
Dr. Yiming Xu, a postdoctoral fellow at UIL, gave a featured presentation titled "Digital Twins and LLM Agents for Smart Cities." His talk introduced our lab’s integrated platform that brings together:
A high-fidelity 3D digital twin model of the City of Austin, constructed using NVIDIA Omniverse, enabling spatial simulation and immersive visualization;
A web-based transportation simulation tool that visualizes real-time traffic conditions and allows user-customized scenario testing;
Two innovative LLM-based agents:
SafeMate, designed to assist in emergency preparedness and multilingual communication;
OpenCityAI, a platform for urban informatics that supports planning through natural language interfaces and data-driven insights.
Poster Session
UIL also actively participated in the poster session, where Huihai and Baik shared their ongoing research
